Upala's First Meetup: Recap & Pictures

Congratulations to Upala, one of our Batch Three grant recipients, for organizing their first meetup in Izhevsk, Russia!

In partnership with 65apps, one of the leading mobile developers in Russia, Upala organized a meetup with the aim of educating developers in Izhevsk about Ethereum and Upala’s identity network.

For those of you unfamiliar with Upala: It is a digital identity system, an alternative to state-issued IDs, that distinguishes people from bots and clones. Features include:

  • Proof of Uniqueness: One person - one ID.
  • Managed private data permissions
  • Account recovery by friends
  • Sybil attack protection

If you’d like to learn more, you can read their whitepaper here.

Multidisciplinary, super-smart and enthusiastic. Talked almost till midnight. Learned a lot. And laughed a lot. Far far better than expected. Thank you Panvala for the support! - @porobov.p, Founder

Here are some pictures of the event:

Would you like to host your own meet-up about Ethereum or anything else related to Panvala?
Let us know and we’ll figure out how we can best assist you in organizing and promoting your event!
